About this event
We will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe & Mineral RTD Park N Ride lot (by Aspen Grove), then depart at 9 a.m. We anticipate a large turnout this year like last year, so we will break out into 3-4 groups of 5 or 6 cars so nobody gets lost.
Communication while traveling is vital! PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR RADIOS.
At a high level, we will travel up Deer Creek Canyon to Pleasant Park Rd, over the hill to Conifer, then take Shadow Mtn Dr to Evergreen, up Hwy 74 to Bergen Park, over Squaw Pass Ro (Hwy 103) to Echo Lake, then descend to Idaho Springs, where we will, have lunch at the Smokin' Yard BBQ (thanks, Mike Embree). Don't worry, there will be plenty of parking for lunch. We will have our regular potty stops in Conifer and in Bergen Park.
Looks like we are going to hit the turning aspens at the right time!! Should be fun!!
